Preparing for yoga immersions and retreats

Let me pose it this way

The verb form of the word "pose" is commonly used to connote the action taken by persons preparing to be photographed. The camera points, the subject holds motion at bay for a few seconds, and then, with a click of the shutter, posing is complete.

Pose can also mean to set oneself up in pretense, such as a restaurant critic "posing" as an ordinary customer.

And a third meaning is to behave in a manner or place oneself in a situation to impress others. This could be with a celebrity, in a Ferrar...

Downtown hubbub gives cause for pause

I'm taking a break. Well, sort of. I am working at an editing job from a downtown Vancouver office for a while, so am not teaching any regular yoga classes for the next couple of months or so. However, I am preparing to offer a workshop late winter or early spring, and will sub on the Sunshine Coast on the occasional Saturday or Sunday.

Aligning thought comes first

Yoga teacher training is moving right along. We have begun to design classes, to tutor each other one-on-one, and to practice, practice, practice. There's so much to learn.
Classes in the community have taken on a new meaning. I'm examining each asana in many new ways.
