Practice makes more practice

My practice and teaching are influenced by Erich Schiffmann's Freedom Yoga, Ashtanga and Sivananda-styles, TKV Desikachar-based yoga therapy, and free-form dance. My practice has led me to explore widely, listen deeply to felt sense, and learn through experience. While I respect my many teachers and their sources, I do not strictly adhere to a specific lineage or follow a guru.

In addition to teacher trainings, retreats, and workshops, I teach studio classes, small yoga therapy practicum groups, and private sessions for all levels.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in depth psychology and creative writing with extensive coursework in world religions, creation and grail mythologies, epistemology, and creativity. Post-grad training and experience includes wholistic expressive / play therapy, hypnotherapy, and counselling. I have several years clinical experience as a psychotherapist in multi-disciplinary health and wellness settings.

For the last 30 years or so I have worked primarily as a writer, editor, journalist, and graphic designer, with a few side-trips along the way. You can see more, including work and volunteer experience, on my LinkedIn profile.
